What does BJJ Black Belt mean?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has the most rigorous criteria and highest standards of any martial art when it comes to earning a black belt. It takes on average 10 years of dedicated training to earn a black belt. This is 10 years of studying and perfecting technique, conditioning and sparring/rolling hard day in and day out. It is estimated only 1% of people who begin BJJ will earn their black belt.
Mike is also a Certified Coach in Combat Submission Wrestling Under former World Shooto Champion Erik Paulson.

Additional Experience:
- Mike has coached local fighters to amateur and professional championships. Many of his fighters have gone on to fight in major promotions such as Bellator.
- He coaches one of the best kids teams in the country. His teams have won countless local tournaments and have placed 3rd, 4th and 3rd at NAGA World's three years in a row. He has coached many kids and teens to NAGA expert division championships. NAGA World's is the largest kids and teens tournament in the world with thousands of kids attending each year.
- His unique style and innovative teaching method, also put him in high demand for lessons and seminars. He regularly teaches across the state and country, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California and Idaho.
